Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Business Development Manager based in Damascus to identify the sectors and companies that need our services, build relationships and partnerships with them, and lead our sales team from the first call to the signed contract. This role charts Zaidronic's growth in the Syrian market.

Zaidronic is a UK AI tech company operating in Syria, with offices in the United Kingdom and Jordan. We help companies use AI to work faster and grow, through training, consulting, solutions and AI-produced content.

THE ROLE

What you will do

  • Build a plan to enter the sectors in Syria that best fit our services, with clear targets for every quarter.
  • Identify target companies and their decision-makers, and keep an up-to-date list of prospects.
  • Build partnerships with chambers of commerce and industry, professional associations and companies that serve our target clients.
  • Lead the sales team, divide the work between appointment setters, sales experts and closers, and review their results every week.
  • Attend key meetings with senior leadership, and shape proposals with our team in Jordan.
  • Bring what the market needs back to management, so that it becomes new services and training courses.
  • Report monthly on the market, the opportunities and the results.
REQUIREMENTS

What we need from you

  • Five years or more in business development or selling to companies.
  • A proven record of opening new markets or sectors, and of closing deals with companies.
  • An existing network among company owners and senior managers in Syria.
  • Experience leading or coordinating a sales team.
  • The ability to plan and to read numbers: targets, ratios and forecasts.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic, written and spoken.
  • Working English: able to read, write and communicate in it. Professional fluency is not required.
  • Based in Damascus or its countryside.
NICE TO HAVE

Nice to have

  • Experience selling technology, training or consulting services.
  • Own car for client visits.
  • Experience with a CRM.
  • Interest in AI tools. We train you in how we work.
